The events of the game take place a hundred years after the end of the previous game, and tell about the fight against a new threat – illithids. These are representatives of a unique, but at the same time creepy and dangerous race. These creatures reproduce by instilling special parasites in representatives of other races. Now they have begun to take over the local world, and you will become one of those captives who are not lucky enough to be among the experimental subjects who are implanted with the very parasite. Your task now is not only to save the world, but also to heal yourself, which means that you will have to go on a journey and find someone who can get rid of the parasite and heal you.
 
But here you will have to start with the creation of a hero that you will play. By the way, you can create your own completely unique hero who will belong to the race of your choice and have unique abilities and bonus characteristics. But you can also choose a hero from the list of ready-made characters available in the game.
