Pre-order for Horizon: Forbidden West – Burning Shores is open. We found out the price of the DLC, and also published a new trailer.
Less than a month before the release of the Burning Shores add-on for Horizon: Forbidden West – scheduled for April 19 – Sony announced the start of pre-orders . The DLC is only available digitally and can only be purchased on PS5 (the PS4 version has been dropped). The add-on costs $19.99 on the PS Store .
For pre-ordering, we get bonuses – Blacktide Dye costume and Blacktide Sharpshot bow for Aloy. Both of these items can be purchased from in-game merchants. They are featured in the second part of the trailer above.
We expect to receive additional information about Horizon: Forbidden West – Burning Shores in the near future. For now, all we know is that Aloy will travel to the Burning Shores to face a new danger threatening the entire planet. However, her journey will not begin immediately. This is due to the fact that the base game is required to run the DLC – mandatory in the PS5 version. Only then the main character will receive a call for a new mission.
As for the physical version of Horizon: Forbidden West – Burning Shores, it seems that the only way to get it is a possible release of the Complete Edition – as was done with the first game (base game + The Frozen Wilds DLC). Perhaps this will only happen when Sony decides to release the new Horizon on PC, which – given the company’s recent actions – is a matter of time.
