Bringing the Zenbook series to another point with its updates, ASUS is here again with a very ambitious device. The brand announced the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED model , which this time took the title of the world’s thinnest OLED laptop .

Aside from the advantages it offers in terms of design and material quality, the new series is also an ambitious device in terms of technical features. We see that it is powered by new generation components. Let’s not rush the word and take a closer look at what ASUS has to offer in this device.

ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED Design and Material Selection

The design of the device is really stylish. We see that a very thin and elegant case is used. Although aluminum materials are used in the series, the device has a case weight of less than 1 kg . This allows the portability of the device to be increased to the next level.

When we come to the thinness part, we see that the thickness of the side profile is only 1 cm. As we mentioned in the title, this value makes the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED model the thinnest OLED laptop model in the world. To offer such a thinner laptop, ASUS has integrated a specially designed ultra-thin OLED panel into the CNC-machined cover, resulting in a 30% thinner display layer than the previous generation.

Another important part that we should mention in the design part will be the choice of material. Because we are faced with the most environmentally friendly computer among the Zenbook models ever presented. Recyclable materials were used both in the device and in the packaging.

Available in basalt gray or classic ponder blue color options, the Zenbook has been designed with the environment and carbon neutrality strictly in mind, using recycled metals and plastics in its structure, FSC Mix certified packaging, elegant new eco-friendly plasma ceramic aluminum for the basalt gray model, and halogen-free electronics.

The aluminum used in the cover part of the model, which has a basalt gray color option, is a special material called ceramic aluminum. Ceramic aluminum, obtained by ASUS using pure water and organic compounds, can be fully recycled when it reaches the end of its useful life, thus minimizing its carbon footprint.

As we mentioned above, care was taken not only to use the cover material, but also to use environmentally friendly materials in other parts of the device.

  • Post-consumer recycled PCR plastics in keycaps and speakers
  • In the speakers part, plastics connected to the ocean also,
  • Case, keyboard closed and post industrial recycled (PIR) magnesium alloy on the cover,
  • In the packaging, reusable and compostable 100% recyclable materials are used.

What’s Up With Endurance?

Although the device has gone through the environmentally friendly production process, of course, there may be a question mark about durability. ASUS also provides the users with the necessary information in this regard. ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED comes with the US military grade endurance standard MIL-STD-810H . The device, whose durability was tested with 26 separate tests, also stands out as one of the most durable laptops.

What Does ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED Offer in Specs?

The design and material choice of the new device draws attention, but of course, the work does not end there. We are faced with an ambitious device in terms of technical features. A laptop computer that will appeal to business-oriented uses has been presented. Let’s take a look at the screen features first.
